BIOGRAFÍAS              Ralph CHAMBERLIN                Nació el 3 de enero de 1879 en Salt Lake City (Utah), estudió en la Universidad de Utah (1808) y como becario en la Universidad de Cornell (1902-1904), y culminó sus estudios con un doctorado en 1905. Fue sucesivamente profesor de zoología en la Universidad de Utah (1904-1911), maestro de conferencias en la Université de Pensilvania (1911-1913), conservador en el Museo de zoología comparada de la Universidad de Harvard (1913-1926) en la sección de Miriápodos y Arácnidos, profesor de zoología y director del laboratorio de biología en la Universidad de Utah desde 1926.      Profesor de Zoología y de gran valía, está particularmente interesado en el estudio de los Miriápodos, los Arácnidos, los Annélidos y los Sipuncúlidos provenientes de los viajes de exploración que hizo al Pacífico y en diferentes partes de los Estados Estados Unidos, Canadá, Mexico, Guatemala.                Sistemáticamente, estudió especialmente las arañas de Utah, California, Centroamérica, Perú y revisó varios géneros de Americanos de la familia Lycosidae y creó muchos géneros y especies nuevos.             Su obra:           Chamberlin (R.V.)
