BIOGRAFÍAS              Arthur CHICKERING                Nació en North-Danville (Vermont), el 23 de marzo de 1887. Tuvo el gran mérito de formarse para conseguir su titulación en la escuela nocturna y clases preparatorias en Boston. Licenciado en la Universidad de Yale en 1913, trabajó en la Universidad de Wisconsin, y se doctora en la Universidad de Michigan en 1927. Llamado primero al Beloit College (Wisconsin) en 1913, como profesor asistente de biología de 1916 a 1918, pasa a ser profesor de biología en Albion College, cargo que ocupa hasta (1939).      Después de sus primeros estudios científicos sobre la espermatogénesis de Hemípteros, comienza en 1929 el estudio de los Arácnidos, publicando varios trabajos sobre la sistemática de las Arañas de Michigan, Honduras y Panamá, utilizándo el importante material que él mismo recolectó en los viajes de estudios a esos países.             Su obra:           Chickering (A.M.)
