BIOGRAFÍAS         William EVANS                Nació y murió en Edimburgo, 9 de mayo de 1851 - 23 de octubre de 1922. Es el "naturalista de campo" escocés más competente de su tiempo y estaba interesado en todas las ciencias naturales y sus conocimientos eran precisos tanto en animales como en plantas. De niño, las aves acaparan su interés, y más tarde, este interés se extendió a los mamíferos, reptiles, anfibios e invertebrados.      Además de unas breves listas de capturas y tres artículos que publicó en solitario sobre arañas, sus otros trabajos fueron publicados en colaboración con el Profesor CARPENTER, sus contribuciones han aumentado considerablemente el conocimiento y la distribución de la fauna de aracnológica escocesa.                Evans era miembro de la "Facultad de Actuarios" y ejerció durante 25 años de su vida en el sector de los seguros.             Su obra:           Evans (W.)
