BIOGRAFÍAS         Willis John GERTSCH                Nació en Montpellier (Idaho), el 4 de octubre de 1906, estudió en la Universidad de Utah en Salt Lake City (1924-1930) y la Universidad de Minnesota (1930-1932), coronó los estudios realizados con un doctorado (Ph. D.) en 1935. Asistente - conservador desde 1932 en el American Museum of Natural History de (Nueva York), es responsable de los Arácnidos; y así él comenzó, publicando varios estudios sobre la sistemática de las arañas de los Estados Unidos, creó un importante número de nuevas especies. En febrero-marzo de 1936 viajó a Panamá (Isla de Barro Colorado, Volcán Chiriquí), trayéndose un interesante material aracnológico.             Su obra:           Gertsch (W.J.)
