BIOGRAFÍAS         Nicholas Marcellus HENTZ                Nació en Versalles el 25 de julio de 1797, era hijo de un abogado y político. Comenzó a estudiar medicina en París, pero en 1816, después de la caída de Napoleón, su padre fue un proscrito y tuvo que acompañarlo a América. Allí se hizo profesor, ocupando numerosos cargos, a menudo cambiando la ciudad hasta su muerte el 4 de noviembre de 1856, en Mariana (Florida).      En los Estados Unidos ocupó su tiempo libre estudiando arañas, como fue el primero en publicar estudios aracnológicos, un gran número de especies que se describen son nuevas, incluso todas a la que Walckenaer no había designado un nombre según los manuscritos de ABBOT y BOSC.             Su obra:           Hentz (N.M.)
