BIOGRAFÍAS         Jonh HEWITT                Nació en diciembre de 1880 en Dronfield, cerca de Sheffield en Inglaterra, después de sus estudios en la escuela de su ciudad natal y en Derby, estudió en la Universidad de Cambridge de 1899 a 1903 e hizo algunos estudios de biología en Stoneyhurst College en Inglaterra. Luego parte para Borneo, donde fue conservador del Museo Sarawak, de 1905 a 1909; cargo que dejó por el Museo Transvaal en Pretoria y poco después en 1910 fue nombrado conservador del Museo de Albany en Grahamstown, donde permaneció al menos hasta 1939.      Como zoólogo, principalmente se interesó por los Reptiles, los Anfibios y los diferentes grupos de Arácnidos, pero en lo que respecta a las arañas, son los Mygalomórfos los que estudió.             Su obra:           Hewitt (J.)
