Se revisa el género
Latrodectus Walckenaer, 1805 en la península Ibérica. Las
especies citadas en la bibliografía previa, L. geometricus C.L.
Koch, 1841, L. mactans (Fabricius 1775) y L. schuchi
(C.L.Koch, 1836), deben ser eliminadas de la fauna ibérica, compuesta
exclusivamente por dos especies L. tredecimguttatus (Rossi, 1790)
y L. lilianae sp. n., descrita en el presente trabajo. Son
comentados e ilustrados los caracteres diagnósticos que permiten la
identificación de ambos táxones, para machos y hembras adultas, así como
para los estadios ninfales y juveniles. Se facilita información
complementaria sobre distribución geográfica, hábitats, ciclo biológico,
puestas, telas y comportamiento de caza. Una clave, en forma de tabla,
resume los caracteres morfológicos y ecológicos que permiten la
separación de ambas especies. |

|
The genus
Latrodectus Walckenaer, 1805, is revised in the Iberian Peninsula.
The species previously recorded from the area, L. geometricus
C.L. Koch, 1841, L. mactans (Fabricius, 1775) and L. schuchi
(C. L. Koch, 1836), must be excluded from the Iberian list of species,
which contains just two species, L. tredecimguttatus (Rossi,
1790) and L. lilianae sp.n., described in the present paper.
Diagnostic characters permitting the identification of these two taxa
are here described and illustrated, both for adult males and females, as
well as for nymphs and juveniles. Complementary information is given on
the geographical distribution, habitats, biological cycle, egg-laying,
webs and hunting behaviour. A key, in the form of a table, summarises
those morphological and ecological characters that allow the separation
of the two species. |
