|
La fauna nicaragüense
de amblipígidos contiene tres especies descritas que pertenecen a los
géneros Phrynus y Paraphrynus (Phrynidae). Excepto
Phrynus maesi Armas, 1996, distribuida en la Cordillera Isabelia
(parte norte del país), el resto de las especies (Phrynus
whitei Gervais, 1842 y Paraphrynus laevifrons (Pocock, 1902))
tienen una distribución mucho más amplia a lo largo del istmo
centroamericano. En este trabajo se aportan datos adicionales sobre la
distribución y la historia natural de estas tres especies. |

|
The presently known
Nicaraguan fauna of whip spiders contains three species of the phrynid
genera Phrynus and Paraphrynus. Apart from Phrynus
maesi Armas, 1996, which is restricted to the Isabelia Range in the
Northern part of the country, the remaining species, Phrynus whitei
Gervais, 1842, and Paraphrynus laevifrons (Pocock, 1902), have a
wider distribution along the Central American isthmus. Additional data
on distribution and natural history are given for these three species. |
