|
El ácaro Acarapis
woodi (Rennie) es una de las principales plagas de la abeja melifera.
Hasta el momento, su identificación se basa principalmente en su
ubicación en las tráqueas del hospedante, y apenas existe información de
su morfología en la literatura. El objetivo de este documento es brindar
datos morfométricos de esta especie. Se estudió una población procedente
de Jaruco, provincia Mayabeque, y se midieron las principales
estructuras del cuerpo en la hembra, macho y la larva. Se discute la
comparación de los resultados con los parámetros que utiliza la OIE
(2018). Estos datos constituyen un complemento en la identificación y la
futura comparación de poblaciones. |

|
The mite Acarapis
woodi (Rennie) is one of the main pests of the honey bee. Until now,
its identification is based mostly on its location in the trachea of the
host, and there is hardly any information on its morphology in the
literature. The aim of this paper is to provide morphometric data of
this species. A population from Jaruco, Mayabeque province, was studied
and the main body structures of the female, male and larva were
measured. The comparison of the results with the parameters used by the
OIE (2018) is discussed. These data constitute a complement in the
identification and future comparison of populations. |
